Enjoy a week full of Our Earth Activities! This is a great weekly activity guide for toddlers to use for Earth Day, but it can also be used anytime of the year.

Each day we have a book to read (or a read aloud to watch if you don't have a copy, a song or dance to enjoy and 2-3 themed activities.
We would love you to join us in our Weekly Themed Facebook Group to share your car & truck themed activities and also to share your pics over on Instagram (follow @myboredtoddler and use #myboredtoddler so we can share our favorites!).

Sensory Play - Earth Day Oobleck
This Earth Day Oobleck activity is a lot of fun. If you've never made oobleck before, it's definitely worth giving it a go!

How to make Oobleck:
- 2 cups of cornstarch or corn flour
- 1 cup of water
- Blue and green food coloring
Mix the cornstarch and water in a large bowl until the mixture is thick and gooey. Add a few drops of blue and green food coloring to create an Earth-like color.
Let your kids play! Oobleck has an intersting texture that children love exploring. It gets hard when you touch it and soft when you let it go.
You can add in some land and sea animals too to make it more fun.

Earth Day Tree Craft
Use upcycled cardboard rolls to make an Earth Day Tree. Paint the rolls first and then cut them (adult task) and let your toddler glue them together to make the tree.

Craft - Easy Earth Day Collage

Celebrate Earth Day by getting out in the garden! If you don't have a garden you can easily plant a seed in a cup or small pot. Fast growing seeds like beans are good as we all know toddlers don't like to wait too long! See how we grew our seeds HERE.

Craft - Junk Box Recycling
Without fail the junk box craft area was always one of the most popular when I was working in early childhood centers. What better way to promote recycling than using what you already have.
Take old boxes, cardboard tubes, containers etc and let your kids see what they can make. There are no rule - just create!
Add glue & sticky tape (the large masking tape is best) and let them go.
