Enjoy a week full of Insect & Bug themed todler activieies. This is a great weekly activity guide for toddlers to use for a Spring themed week.

Each day we have a book to read (or a read aloud to watch if you don't have a copy, a song or dance to enjoy and 2-3 themed activities.
We would love you to join us in our Weekly Themed Facebook Group to share your car & truck themed activities and also to share your pics over on Instagram (follow @myboredtoddler and use #myboredtoddler so we can share our favorites!).
Missed a theme? You can find all of our previous topics HERE.

Activity - Going on a Bug Hunt!
You can do the bug hunt a few different ways - go and look for real bugs around the yard or your local area (always a fun activity) or set up a bug hunt at home using plastic bugs (I have THIS bug set and we have used it SO much!)
Hide the bugs around your house and yard and have your toddler go to find them. Adding a magnifying glass and bug catcher makes this one a lot of fun! We love this set that you can get on Amazon HERE.

If you prefer we also have an Insect & Bugs scavenger hunt where you can print out the pictures and hide them. This is free for this week!

Craft - Egg Carton Caterpillar
Use an old egg carton to make a caterpillar! This is an easy craft and one that looks great on display. See how to make your egg carton caterpillar HERE.

Don't overlook the simple act of coloring in. Coloring is an important fine motor skill (it's not at all important to stay in the lines at a young age - it's about letting them have fun with crayons and pencils!).
The large crayola pencils are great for toddlers.
You can get our FREE simple bee coloring pages HERE.

Outdoor Activity - Go on a Listening & Photo Walk
Take a walk outside (if you have a park or nature trail that would be even better) and listen to all the sounds you hear. Can you hear any insects?

It can be sometimes fun to go out again later in the day to see if the insects you seee and hear change at night.
