It's JUNGLE week! Another fun week of toddler activities - this time we're focusing on Jungle activities. This is part of our weekly activity guide series to teach toddlers in a fun and play based way.

Each day we have a book to read (or a read aloud to watch if you don't have a copy, a song or dance to enjoy and 2-3 themed activities.
We would love you to join us in our Weekly Themed Facebook Group to share your jungle themed activities and also to share your pics over on Instagram (follow @myboredtoddler and use #myboredtoddler so we can share our favorites!).

Song/Dance: The Animal Dance
Dance along as Danny Go explores different animals
I know we're doing a lot of paper plate crafts this week, but they are so easy (and cheap) to set up! This one is easier than it looks as if you cut the plate correctly all you then need to do is decorate and glue together. Get the full instructions HERE.

Sensory Play - Simple Jungle Sensory Bin
Today we're keeping it simple! Add plastic jungle animals to a simple sensroy bin base - sand, water, rice or pasta.

Movement Game: Create a jungle obstacle course indoors or in the backyard (crawl like a tiger, stomp like an elephant, slither like a snake).
In the Jungle - Day 5
Book: Over in the Jungle
A cute jungle themed book with a counting focus.

Available on Amazon HERE or watch a read aloud HERE.
Song/Dance - Animal Dance FREEZE!
Join Jack Hartmann for a fun Animal Dance FREEZE game
Fine Motor - Rescue the Jungle Animals
I know we do this activity for a lot of themes but it's such a fun one! Easy to set up too. Add your jungle animals to a tray, place some tape over them and have your toddler peel off the tape to 'rescue' them.
This is a great fine motor activity.

Craft - Jungle Animal Dot Paintings
I know not all of these are jungle animals, but there are plenty of them in this free printable pack to use for jungle week. Get your free printables HERE.

Pretend Play: Use all the week’s crafts (lion, elephant, alligator, snake) and create your very own jungle play scene.
I hope you enjoyed our Jungle Week activities!
