FRUIT & VEGETABLES - Day 1

We couldn't possibly do this topic wihout starting with this book!

Available on Amazon HERE or watch a read aloud on Youtube HERE.
Song/Dance: Eat the Rainbow
Craft - Fruit & Vegetable Painting
Use fruit and vegetables as a painting tool (I prefer to do this with expired fruit or half eaten pieces). You can see the full way to set up this activity HERE.

Game - Fruit Scavenger Hunt (free printable)

Real Life Activity - Fruit & Veg Shopping!
Take your child to the store (or even better, a fruit & vegetble store) and let them choose ANY fruit or veg to try when you get home. They'll love the fun of picking out their fruit or veg and trying it (even if they don't like it!). The emphasis should be on 'trying' not 'liking'.
FRUIT & VEGETABLES - Day 2
Book: Eating the Alphabet

Available on Amazon HERE or watch a Read Aloud on Youtube HERE.
Song / Dance - Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy!
Sensory Play - Orange Water Sensory Bin
Add some sliced fruit to a simple water sensory bin. We used oranges as we had a lot of them, but lemon or lime works great too. See how we set up our orange water sensory bin HERE.

Craft - Apple Tree Craft
Make your own apple tree with this easy stamping activity. See how to make it HERE.

FRUIT & VEGETABLES - Day 3
Book: Too Many Pears
This is a lovely fun book by one of my favorite authors!

Available on Amazon HERE or watch a read aloud on YouTube HERE
Song/Dance: Veggie Dance
Craft - Scrap Paper Apple
Make an apple out of ripeed up red construction paper. You can cut out the shape of an apple from paper, or use a white paper plate as your base. Let your toddler rip the paper if they can (or help them out) and glue on to create a collage.

Real Life Activity - Fruit Tray Picnic
Set up a picnic at home (or a park) with a selection of fruits to try. Snack boxes are great for this. Once again, this is about giving your child the opportunity to try the fruit and the focus should be on 'trying' not 'liking'.
Baking - Make Banana Bread
Let's use fruit in baking! This super easy banana bread recipe is very toddler friendly - they can be involved in almost all of the baking steps! Get the recipe HERE.

Get Moving - Banana Yoga!
Get ready to enjoy some kid friendly yoga - Banana Style!
I reccomend using a snack box like THIS ONE.

Craft - Grape Stamping!
An easy to set up craft idea from Love to Laugh and Learn. Use purple paint and a cardboard tube to stamp your grapes!

Sensory Play - Watermelon Moon Sand
I always love moon sand - such a fun and easy toddler sensory bin activity. This recipe from Growing a Jeweled Rose adds a watermelon twist. See how to make it HERE.

Fruit Tasting - Strawberry & Mango Ice Blocks
Get your toddler to help you make these yummy Strawberry & Mango Ice blocks (very healthy) and enjoy them as a treat. See how easy they are to make HERE.

FRUIT & VEGETABLES - Day 5
Book: I will Never, Not Ever, Eat at Tomato
