Enjoy a themed week full of car & truck activities with your toddler or preschooler!

Each day we have a book to read (or a read aloud to watch if you don't have a copy, a song or dance to enjoy and 2-3 themed activities.
We would love you to join us in our Weekly Themed Facebook Group to share your car & truck themed activities and also to share your pics over on Instagram (follow @myboredtoddler and use #myboredtoddler so we can share our favorites!).

Sensory Activity: Washing cars and trucks – Use a tub of soapy water, plastic cars, and towels for drying. This activity works well after the painting activity!

Add toy trucks and cars to the sandpit. If you don't have one, fill a plastic tub with rice, sand or cereal and make a fun car / truck sensory bin.
The activity below used crushed up cereal to create taste safe 'sand' ans was shared by Rachel.

If you don't want to make your own sensory bin there are some great kits out there that you can buy that are ready to play! I like this Racing Car sensory bin (available HERE on Amazon)

Fine Motor Activity: Playdough!
Get our FREE Transport Playdough Mats and let your toddler have fun making cars, trucks and other forms of transport.
I always recommend THIS playdough set as it is great value and lasts such a long time.

Day 5
Book: Old McDonald Had a Truck

Fine Motor Activity - Snip & Peel Car Rescue
Practice fine motor skills with this fun snip & peel car rescue. For younger toddlers let them peel off the tape, but for older toddlers this is a great activity to introduce scissor skills (with toddler safe scissors like these ones).

Let's Play - Make a Tape City!
This idea from Artsy Momma is so much fun. Use masking tape to create town and then use toy cars and trucks to drive around it.

Craft: Make race cars from cardboard tubes.
This is a fun upcycled craft idea. Cardboard tubes / Toilet paper rolls are always great for craft and you can see how to make these racecars HERE.

Games: Follow the Leader
Follow the leader and copy the way they are driving - take the game outside or to the park to make it more fun!
