Enjoy a themed week full of Zoo themed toddler activities! This is a really fun toddler weekly activity guide and a topic that is always popular.

Pretend Play - Set up a Zoo
Set up a "zoo" using stuffed animals, cardboard boxes for enclosures, and let your toddler be a zookeeper!

Sensory Play - Create a Zoo themed Sensory Bin
There are many different ways to do this. You can keep it really simple with some rice or sand and some zoo toys or get a little creative and try our crocodile sensory swamp with oobleck. See the full instructions HERE.

This rice sensory bin by Caitie was made by dying rice (you can see how to dye rice for sensory bins HERE).

Play Time - Make a Zoo Parade!
This activity is really simple but toddler's really love it! Use tape to create a path way and line up your zoo animals for a parade!


At the Zoo - Day 5
Book: Animal Strike at the Zoo

Song/Dance - STOMP!
Fine Motor Activity - Snip & Rescue the Zoo Animals.
Place your zoo animal figurines into a muffin tin with masking tape over them. Have your toddler 'rescue' them by peeling off the tape. Older children can try using toddler safe scissors to cut the tape.
The image below is when we did this activity with toy cars, but it works just as well with our zoo animals!
