These easy English muffin pizzas are easy enough for toddlers to make and a great toddler snack idea. We make extra and freeze them. This recipe is day 4 of our 5 Day Toddler Baking Challenge!
Easy English Muffin Pizzas Your Toddler Can Make
We're up to day 4 of our toddler baking challenge! If you haven't joined in yet you can sign up here. This recipe really couldn't be much simpler. We've used English muffins as they are nice and easy (and we always have a packet in the freezer) but this recipe works just as well with mini pizza bases (you can even make your own using our 2 ingredient scroll recipe) or regular size pizza bases.
What you need for the easy English Muffin Pizzas
- English muffins
- Tomato Paste or pasata
- Grated cheese
- Ham (I pre-chopped this to make it easier) or your choice of toppings
Utensils
- Baking Tray & baking paper / grease proof paper
- spoon
- Small bowls for the ingredients
- Plastic wrap if you want to freeze the remainder
- Knife to cut the muffins in half (adult task)
How to make easy English muffin pizzas
These really don't need too much explanation! Before you start, I recommend cutting the muffins in half and placing your tomato paste and toppings into small bowls to make it easier for your toddlers. I used a plastic place mat for the kids to put the pizzas on while they were making it. It made it very easy to wipe down after we were done.
We often make a lot of these as they freeze really well.
Put your tomato paste onto the muffin with a spoon. They may need help to spread it around but let them have a good go first.
Let your toddler add their toppings
Finish off with cheese on top
Place your muffin pizzas onto a baking tray and place under the grill until the cheese is golden (about 4-5 minutes)
Freeze the rest of your muffins (uncooked) individually for a quick and easy toddler snack!
I really hope you enjoy day 2 of our baking challenge. Make you share your photos on Instagram and in our Facebook Group. Use #MyBoredToddler and #ToddlerBakingChallenge so we can see them all! I'll be sharing some of them on Instagram during the challenge too!
