Enjoy a themed week full of Dinosaur activities with your toddler or preschooler!

Each day we have a book to read (or a read aloud to watch if you don't have a copy, a song or dance to enjoy and 2-3 themed activities.
We would love you to join us in our Weekly Themed Facebook Group to share your car & truck themed activities and also to share your pics over on Instagram (follow @myboredtoddler and use #myboredtoddler so we can share our favorites!).

Book: Dinosaur Roar

Available on Amazon HERE or watch a read aloud here
Song/Dance:
Romp Bomp a Stomp - The Wiggles
Dance and stomp around the room to Romp Bomp a Stomp!
Fine Motor Fun - Dinosaur Footprints
Use your dinosaur toys to make footprints - this works really well in playdough (we always have a pack of playdough like this one at home). You can also dip them in paint and make painted footprints!

Kinetic Sand works well too! You can buy kinetic sand HERE.

Sensory Play: Frozen Dinosaur Eggs
Freeze small dinosaur toys inside balloons filled with water. Once frozen, let kids excavate the dinosaurs by melting the ice with warm water. Full instructions HERE.

Dinosaurs Day 2
Book: Stomp Dinosaur Stomp!

Available on Amazon HERE or watch a Read Aloud on Youtube HERE.
Song/Dance: Dinosaur Stomp! by Koo Koo Kangaroo
Game - Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt
Print out our FREE Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt - hide the pictures around the house or yard (or laminate them and hide them in a sensory bin). Let your child hunt for the dinosaurs!
Get your FREE Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt Printable HERE.

Get out your washable paints and paint your dinosaur figurines! This activity will be more fun that you think and don't worry - we're going to wash it off for the next part of the activity! Get the full instructions HERE.

Sensory Play - Dinosaur Wash!
I promised we'd clean up the dinosaurs. This one is easy - get a container of soapy water and wash them! If it's a nice day I like to set this up outside with a towel next to them so they can dry. This activity also works well after our Muddy Sensory Bin for tomorrrow's activity.

Dinosaurs Day 3
Book: Dinos Love Donuts
This is such a fun book from the author of Dragons Love Tacos.

Available on Amazon HERE or watch a read aloud on Youtube HERE
Song/Dance: Ten Little Dinosaurs
Messy / Sensory Play - Taste Safe Muddy Dinosaur Sensory Bin
This activity is one of my favorites! I guarantee it will be a hit! This sensory bin uses a simple oobleck recipe with a 'muddy' twist.
Get the full instructions HERE.

Get Moving - Dinosaur Yoga!
Tiny the T-Rex! Relax with some fun dinosaur themed kids yoga!
Dinosaurs Day 4
Book: How to Catch a Dinosaur

Available on Amazon HERE or watch a Read Aloud on Youtube HERE.
Song/Dance: The Dinosaur Dance
Dinosaurs in Playdough Eggs
This is a really fun dinosaur activity idea. Hide your toy dinosaurs in playdough 'eggs' and have your toddler hatch them. So much fun.

This is a fun craft - a little bit of adult prep and then let the kids stick the paper on to make a suncatcher. See how to make them HERE over at Made to Be a Momma.

Dinosaurs Day 5
Book: Ten Minutes To Bed Little Dinosaur

Available on Amazon HERE or as a Read Aloud on Youtube HERE.
Song/Dance - We're Going On a Dinosaur Hunt
We always love a good paper plate craft and this Dinosaur themed one from Artsy Craftsy Mom is easy to make. See the full instructions HERE.

Sensory Play - Make a Dinosaur Dig Sensory Bin!
Make a dinosaur sensory bin using sand, rice or pasta as a base. Hide toy dinosaurs or print our our FREE Dinosaur Fossil Dig pictures to create a fun dinosaur fossil dig!
