Making these Halloween sticker trick or treat bags will save you having the same store-bought ones as everyone else. Your child will love taking their homemade sticker trick or treat bag around on Halloween. It's such a nice simple Halloween toddler craft.
Halloween sticker trick or treat bag craft
This is our craft for Day 4 of the Toddler Halloween Craft Challenge. If you want to start from the beginning you can sign up HERE (you'll get a new craft each day for 5 days). Yesterday we made cotton ball ghosts and it was great seeing them all on Instagram and in our Facebook group!
If you want to match this with a Halloween Toddler Book then I recommend Trick or Treat - a lift the flap book. Available HERE.
What you need for your sticker trick or treat bag
- Craft bags. You can get these HERE on Amazon or from most craft stores.
- Halloween stickers. Try to get foam ones like these as they are easier for little fingers to hold. If you can't find them you can use regular Halloween stickers.
How to make your sticker trick or treat bag
This Halloween craft doesn't really need too many instructions! It's a great craft to use for playgroups or daycare centers too as it's easy to set up and pretty mess-free.
I like to set out the stickers in a tray just to make it clearer for the children to see them all. If they're all mixed up it can get a bit confusing for them. The reason I recommend foam stickers is that they are easier to hold. The younger children will need help pulling the backing off but should be able to stick them on themselves.
Let your child start sticking! You can do both sides of the bag to make it look spookier!
Keep sticking until the whole bag is covered.
Use your bag when you go trick or treating! Smaller versions of these bags can also be used to hand out treats to friends and family.
I can't wait to see pictures of your Halloween trick or treat sticker bag!
We would love to see some photos of your activity – share them in our Facebook group or on Instagram (tag @myboredtoddler and use #MyBoredToddler so we can see – I’ll share some of my favorites).
