Enjoy a themed week full of Superhero Themed Toddler Activities. This is a really fun toddler weekly activity guide and a topic that perfect for the toddler & preschool age group!


Each day we have a book to read (or a read aloud to watch if you don't have a copy, a song or dance to enjoy and 2-3 themed activities.

SUPERHEROES - Day 1
Book: Even Superheroes Have Bad Days

Song/Dance: Ka-Pow! Superhero Dance
Pretend Play
Put on capes (blankets, towels etc) and become your own Superhero! Fly around the house using your superpower!
If you want to go all out you can get superhero capes like these on Amazon. I find these get used A LOT when added to the dress up box.

Craft - Make your Own Superhero Mask!
Print out one of our FREE Printable Superhero masks (in just the right size to wear!) and get decorating! You can get your mask printable HERE. There are 10 different designs to choose from.

Sensory Play - Create a Superhero Sensory Bin
This is the time to pull out any superhero toys you have and create your own superhero sensory bin. There's no rules - add your toys and get creative. Blocks make for great buildings! Here are some ideas we found on Pinterest.

Be a Superhero and dance along with Bounce Patrol
PRETEND PLAY
Build an obstacle course (use pillows, tunnels, chairs etc) and make a Superhero Training Course! You could go to a playgound instead and pretend that this was your superhero obstacle course!
CRAFT - Make a Superhero Shield

PRETEND PLAY - Save the toys!
Today we're going to be role playing saving our toys! Pick your superpower and then 'rescue' your toys from tricky situations.
Craft - Make Superhero Cuffs
Make your own Superhero Cuffs out of old cardboard tubes. Paint and decorate them and then have them wear them on their wrists.

Get Moving - Spiderman Yoga!
Some fun kid friendly yoga with a Spidermand theme!
SUPERHEROES- Day 4
Book: What's My Superpower?

Song/Dance: Spider Man Freeze!
Dance along with Spider Man ... and then FREEZE!
PRETEND PLAY - SUPERPOWERS
Today we're going to have superpowers!

Choose a superpower and act it out. Some examples are:
Speed Power – race from one end of the room to the other, or “deliver messages” quickly.
Super Hearing – freeze and listen for sounds (clap, tap, whisper).
Web Power – use string/yarn to “trap” toys or make pretend webs.
Ice Power – pretend to “freeze” the ground (lay down blue scarves/paper) and walk carefully across.
Fire Power – “melt” ice cubes in warm water to free hidden toys.
Stretch Power – reach high (like grabbing stars) or stretch to rescue a toy from “danger.”
Animal Power – crawl like a cat, hop like a frog, stomp like an elephant.
Mind Power – use hand gestures to “move” objects (push toy cars or blocks across the floor).
Rescue Power – carry stuffed animals to a “safe zone.”
Team Power – join hands with another toddler/parent to complete a challenge together (lifting, running, or jumping).
CRAFT - PAPER BAG CAPE
Let's make a cape! This activity uses a paper bag to create an easy to decorate superhero cape. See how to make it HERE.

Sensory Play - Superhero Ice Resce
Freeze your toys in ice and then 'smash' them out (with supervision of course). This idea is from The Jenny Evolution and you can see the full instructions HERE.

Pretend Play - Build a City with Cardboard Boxes and Blocks
Use Cardboard Boxes and Blocks to build a city. Then come in and save the day!
Activity - Resuce The Toys!
